Broadcast of IndyCar's Saturday race at Iowa Speedway moved to CNBC, Peacock

NEWTON, Iowa -- Due to NBC's breaking news coverage of the shooting at former President Donald Trump's rally just outside Pittsburgh, the network has moved IndyCar's Saturday night race at Iowa Speedway off NBC and onto CNBC and Peacock.

Race coverage will begin at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT, with the green flag for the first race of the the doubleheader weekend.

Andretti Global's Colton Herta will start Saturday night's race on pole next to Race 2 polesitter Scott McLaughlin, with points leader and defending champion Alex Palou and Will Power, who currently sits 2nd in points, starting on Row 2.

It's unclear at the moment whether Sunday's race, which is presently also scheduled to be broadcast on NBC, will run unaffected or not. NBC's broadcast for Race 2 is schedule to begin Sunday at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT, when a green flag set for 12:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. CT.
