Benny Blanco Says He Sees Himself Marrying and Having Kids With Selena Gomez

“That’s my next goal."

Benny Blanco is hearing wedding bells in his and Selena Gomez's future. On Tuesday, the record producer gushed about how much he loves his girlfriend during an interview with Howard Stern, and revealed that after almost a year of dating, he already knows she's the one.

Sharing that Gomez is his "best friend," Blanco told Stern: “The way we talk and stuff, people always say this to me, ‘You know when you meet your best friend.’ She’s truly just like my best friend. We laugh all fucking day. She inspires me. I get home from work, I think I had a good day. I’m like, ‘What did you do?’ She’s like, ‘Oh, I just filmed this thing with Meryl Streep and then I went to a fundraiser and now I’m like recording—’My day sounds like shit every day compared to hers.”

Given the couple's combined busy schedules, Stern surmised that they have "no room" for kids in their lives right now, but the cookbook author surprisingly said he wants them—and rather soon. “I wanna have kids, that’s my next goal,” he said. “I have a lot of godkids; I got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.”

Naturally, this then lead to Stern asking about marriage. “When are you going to propose to your very famous girlfriend?” the radio host asked, to which Blanco dodged the question with the sweetest answer, “When I look at her, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.”

Stern continued to press Blanco for more information, saying that he was “predicting marriage” for the couple. “You and me both,” Blanco said, before noting, however, he doesn't have a ring. “I gotta get my act together," he added.

Blanco's latest relationship details come just weeks after he recalled the exact point in time that he first fell in love with Gomez. While speaking with The Wall Street Journal, the songwriter explained that he had a Cher Horowitz-esque revelation after filming the music video for the 2019 song "I Can't Get Enough," in which he and Gomez both made appearances.

"I was the last one to know," he shared. "It's crazy how your partner could just be sitting there the whole time, right in front of your eyes, and you don't even notice, and then you have that Clueless moment where you’re like, 'Wait, I’m in love.'"
