United States Attorneys’ Offices Monitor Selection for Corporate Criminal Enforcement Policy

The Monitor Selection for Corporate Criminal Enforcement Policy details the standards, policy, and procedures for the selection of monitors in criminal matters being handled by United States Attorney’s Offices. 

The policy was developed pursuant to the Deputy Attorney General’s September 15, 2022 memorandum, “Further Revisions to Corporate Criminal Enforcement Policies Following Discussions with Corporate Crime Advisory Group,” which instructed that each component involved in corporate criminal resolutions that does not currently have a public monitor selection process must adopt an already existing Department process, or develop and publish its own process.


United States Attorneys’ Offices Voluntary Self-Disclosure Policy

The Voluntary Self-Disclosure Policy details the circumstances under which a company will be considered to have made a voluntary self-disclosure of misconduct to a United States Attorney’s Office. 

The policy was developed pursuant to the Deputy Attorney General’s September 15, 2022 memorandum, “Further Revisions to Corporate Criminal Enforcement Policies Following Discussions with Corporate Crime Advisory Group,” which directed each Department of Justice component to develop and publish a voluntary self-disclosure policy.
