Studio Saturday with Mike Weary: Inspired by the Art of Frank Hayden
The Louisiana Art & Science Museum will hold its next Studio Saturday Art Workshop on Saturday, September 7, from 10 AM - 12 noon, featuring local artist Mike Weary. Mike Weary is a self-taught artist born, raised, and based in south Louisiana. A Baton Rouge resident with roots in New Orleans, he describes his style as Southern-gothic-meets-Black-expressionism due to the emotion conveyed in his subject matter. His unique painting style focuses on the complexities and dynamics of life in the Deep South.
