Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

The primary purpose of the Elizabeth City Geographic Information Services (GIS) division is to maintain the City's Geographic Information System, a computer-assisted information system to collect, store, manipulate, and display spatial (geographic) data within the context of an organization, with the purpose of functioning as a decision support system. In addition, the GIS division provides geographic data, mapping, and related services to City departments, citizens, internet users, private businesses, and various City boards, commissions, and committees.

 

GIS Maps are not intended to be surveys and should not be used as such. Maps and tabular data presented on the Interactive Maps pages which follow are developed from public records and data sources including recorded deeds, plats, and other public records. Users of these mapping applications are hereby notified that the aforementioned public primary information sources should be consulted for verification of the information contained on this website.
