For instance, "How do you like to be communicated with?" or "What is the most important issue for you?" You can also consider adding some demographic questions like age, where they live, what their role is, etc.

Identifying the gaps is basically generating the opertunities so assessing the data accorting to the desire action plans which further laed to a successful completion.

Cageing yourself in one direction or approach to problem solving is a technical error. Dimensions of solution to a problem may multifaceted. Cultural, believe systems, geographic and modernizational in nature. Having a broad approach with deep thought to issues will bring better outcomes. In this way salient issues which could have being hidden but very pertinent to unraveling the issues to be addressed will come up giving room for effective diagnosis and efficient solutions.

Reflection serves as the engine driving continuous improvement in community organizing. Beyond celebrating successes, it involves dissecting what worked, what didn't, and why. By analyzing our strategies, resident feedback, and overall outcomes, we gain invaluable insights. This introspection sharpens our analytical skills, helping us identify hidden patterns and potential pitfalls. It's akin to fine-tuning a machine for optimal impact within the community we serve. This commitment to reflection not only strengthens our expertise but also showcases our dedication to excellence and ongoing learning—a hallmark of true community leadership.

Stand still and look back at work amd think "would you be happy", did you reach your goal ? Did you achieve what you want ? Are you happy with what you achieve and reached your exact goal?

Have you been able to achieve your objectives/goals? If not what could have been the hindrance? Was it something within your reach or beyond your control? What went well, what went wrong and how can you improve? Reflection gives you the chance to look at everything from the outsiders perspective and be able to clearly point out areas for improvement.

Taking time to go over what you have or even makes you better. Every good speech can be improved upon. Every good plan can have problems. What is constant is change. Reflections cause the need for improvement even in minute issues because little things can cause big when not detected in a different scenario.

El final de un proceso puede ser el incio de otros sueños. Al cerrar un proceso podemos aprovechar la energía de las conclusiones y la celebración de los logros para preguntarnos: ¿qué sigue? ¿qué más queremos hacer? ¿qué quedó pendiente? Estas preguntas las podemos hacer junto al equipo de trabajo y también junto a la comunidad con la que trabajamos.

Recognizing the need to learn not only from people who are in the community organizing world, but also learning from the people who are daily struggling to overcome the challenges you are trying to address. There is something to glean from people who without the formal education and training have demonstrated a resilience and ability to overcome. Never think you can't learn from those in the struggle.

Beyond formal professional development, you should also look at informal tools. That could mean looking at a different industry to see how they do things, grabbing a drink with someone doing impressive work, or even talking to younger staff members. I learned Twitter from my interns and how to utilize text blasts from younger staff, and now I'm desperately trying to find young innovators who are doing impressive things with AI. These are the things that help me always keep ahead of the curve.

Continuous learning is the bridge between doing it better or doing it the same way! Desire to improve your skill set through constant learning.

In the age of social media, go SMALL versus LARGE. Go micro versus macro. I sell a series of products nationally but had a small client population locally; meaning that few people in my immediate neighborhood and community even knew I owned a business. So I started tabling in my neighborhood and generating a local client base complete with phone numbers and home delivery. This resulted in three major realizations: 1. There is strong local money in the average working class neighborhood. 2. Word of Mouth is one of the best forms of advertising. 3. Value the RETURN CUSTOMER. Any one will try virtually any product or service ONCE....but true value is when they COME BACK.
