Lean startup is a way to make software that people want. You do this by: 1. Finding a problem that people have and guessing how to solve it. 2. Making a simple version of your software and showing it to people. 3. Seeing what they like or don’t like and learning from it. 4. Changing your software or idea based on what you learned.

I agree with that statement, In my view when we identify the problem try to understand what is the main issue and a solution which satisfies most of the customers . In the process of existing or new product development , we need to categorize the problems from must to least , where must is essential where these essentials to be addressed mandatorily and least is like luxury which can be addressed or customized according to the customer needs and treat like a premium features. Essentials to be available as basic . Just like we buy a laptop we should able to use it , features like finger scan or document scanner etc are on based on demand. Using this Lean Principle we can achieve the maximum use of our products.

To drive software innovation using Lean Startup principles, start by identifying a customer problem. Develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to address this issue quickly. Launch the MVP to a small group, gather feedback, and measure user interaction. Iterate based on this feedback, continuously improving the product. Well begun is half done and this holds true in lean start up cycle too. We need to define what’s the value add is being experimented either to resolve existing issue or an enhancement that bring new functionality along with expected benefits and how same is going to be measured. Once we have this, next steps become relatively easy to define, refine, and execute!

It is just to ensure that the very basic problem of your targeted customers is met, to run usability studies on field and then to conceptualise what further can be done. It also helps to keep a lean product scope and a leaner team structure as such things reduce overheads, help to keep budget and timeline in place ensuring quality. And it should also help the product owners to clearly define the KPIs that they wish to track from the field users before investing on an end to end product.

Are they working to their strongest abilities? 3- If you are missing a strength, go get it. 4- Have you drifted from the solution, figured out why and if it is good or bad, is it leading to more users? 5- Review your KPIs. Are they providing you the right insight? In my opinion, stop looking for the metrics that validate your thinking; look for the insights and feedback which force you to be uncomfortable.
