Guide a hesitant client by first exploring their underlying fears or uncertainties about setting goals. Start small by focusing on short-term, achievable milestones to build confidence. Use reflective questions to help them clarify what truly matters to them. Gradually introduce larger, long-term goals as they become more comfortable. Align their goals with their core values to make them feel more meaningful and attainable.

✔️Clarify the Value of Goals🎯: Explain how setting clear goals gives direction and focus, making the coaching process more impactful. Goals act as milestones, helping track progress and celebrate achievements. ✔️Explore Fears & Resistance ⚠️: Encourage a conversation around any fears or resistance they might have toward goal-setting. Understanding these barriers can help tailor a more approachable and motivating framework. ✔️Start Small📈 with Flexible Goals🎯: Suggest starting with small, flexible goals that can evolve as they gain confidence. This gradual approach can reduce overwhelm and help them see the value in setting larger goals over time.

To help hesitant clients set life coaching goals, use empathy and strategy. Encourage them to explore their values and aspirations through open-ended questions. Break down larger goals into smaller, achievable milestones. Use tools like vision boards to make goals tangible and inspiring.

Many clients come to me looking for help in finding their purpose in life after the military. Through the use of Gene Keys, I guide them on their inner journey to not only identify their true purpose but to also identify goals they wish to achieve in the area of their life they wish to improve upon. The inner work is necessary to help them understand the shadows in their life, managing them quicker and reaching their goals. Setting huge scary goals is important. Breaking the steps to get there down makes it more manageable. Visualizing the small goals and the final goal keeps them motivated and learning the power of our own imaginations and that we all have the power inside to design and build our future lives is the secret.

If my client is hesitatnt o set clear goals, there are clearly underlying beliefs that the client has about goals, and we would: 1. explore those underlying beliefs that have created the fears and extablish more empowering beliefs. 2. we would then looka the clients vision for life and see whether the goals are in alignment with that vision and if they are, 3 we wouls set clear, actionable goals aligned to the clients vision and, 4. take clear, focused action towards acheiving that goal daily.
