Your passion is your passion. It's not for someone else to define, and it's not for someone else to interfere. As soon as you start taking advice, you are shifting away from listening to your true core and voice.

It is important to know that your life must not be ruled by anyone around you. You don't have to prove your worth to your people by sacrificing your own wishes, especially the ones which are immensely important to you. People who love you, like your parents should understand that you have a life to live and you have all the rights to choose for yourself. If they are acting as a hurdle for your passion, maybe they need to understand and fix it more than you.
