Set the stage for dialogue about mutual needs! It is pretty easy. I have found that establishing ground rules for scheduled or called meetings is a great place to start. A pivotal ground rule for the issue-at-hand is that each party end each meeting with a simple question, “Is there anything that you need that you are not getting from me?”. This offers a predictable and non-threatening opportunity to discuss needs for feedback and other relationships-building basics. Good luck’
