Collaboration is the key. They recognize he/she are not able to achieve success alone. Leaders who are able to collaborate and to assert positive influence are able to exemplify executive presence. Whether proactive or reactive, these leaders are able to garner the best possible outcomes by assembling the best team, providing resources, and addressing obstacles that impede the best possible outcomes.

Here’s my best advice I can give leaders: Understand that when you walk into the room of colleagues, peers and staff, you are not the most intelligent person in the room; no matter how smart, educated or successful. Now stop and listen to them all and learn. You’ll all appreciate it. When your people see you being in the moment and learning with them, the whole energy changes.

Your reaction to challenges set the tone for your personal presence. When you show up to your employees in a panic, frazzled with a last minute project you received, you must be centered and turn that into a positive point of view--a 'we got this' attitude. It keeps the rest of the team grounded and not feel as though they have a chaotic leader.
