You also are not restricted to one, and if anything it is encouraged to try different approaches so you can find what works best for you - however one of the most important considerations is "consistency".

Choose a vertical and start your research, Research is really important step, start by describing what others are doing and add if you can do something similar or better. Whenever you are sharing, share impact as well, like how this model/paper can solve something that was a norm, on reducing costs, or better performance or reducing lifecycle for perf improv. Share content across multiple channels like blogs or medium articles or youtube videos to increase visibility.

Build opinionated approaches in your niche based on your experience (you should have rigorous projects/evidence that supports your opinions in order to be seen as an expert.) Then share those online (such as what I am doing in this article!), at conferences, and at meetups. Networking is really important as it can expand your visibility on platform. Some things that you can consider - Connect with relevant folks with appropriate message in connection request, new connections will help your content reach to interested audience - Share appropriate content w.r.t your area of interest in ML - comment on other posts that can help in augmenting their post (if possible with references) - Quote other posts and re share with your own thoughts - share content w.r.t your niche - attend conferences and meetups, share whom you met or what you have learned something new

Since ML is a fast-paced field, it's hard to keep up if you need to read and learn everything yourself. So network, follow folks who write paper synopsis, have coffee chats with folk and learn more about what they're working on. Most of us are happy to go deep in the technical weed of things we have figured out!

For you to stay relevant you need to be updating your skills constantly! Specially nowadays with the traction that LLM models and NLP is gaining. Platforms like Maven Analytics, Coursera & EdEx are great to stay updated with the latest trends!

Genuineness promotes self-awareness. Don't pretend to be the one who knows everything. Once you stop doing that others will start relating themselves to you. Always look out for others' perspectives on something and try to learn from them (maybe from the post that you shared on LinkedIn). Be humble and respectful of how others think - try to nudge your thoughts in the same way because you never know what improves you as a person. This famous saying fits well here "You Don't Know What You Don't Know" - so be curious, true to yourself and others, and keep growing!

The key is to start somewhere. Few simple things you can do: 1. Share what you're reading. Issues you're facing in understanding. Interesting takeaways, etc. 2. If you're someone who is learning, try something like a 30-day challenge. Ask people to learn with you. You won't need any advice beyond the 30-days. Automatically, you'll have ideas on how to engage, share and build. So, just get started!
