I absolutely agree on tipping your housekeepers directly. If by any chance you don’t have cash you can always add a tip on your final bill at the front desk and make sure the tip goes to the Housekeeping team. Additionally I like to “strip the room (put all dirty linen together in one place)” before I exit the room as a nice gesture for the next housekeeper who will service it.

Tips in my opinion is appropriating someone who look after you.in some part of the world that’s the only extra income for employees.even though some hotels and restaurants do have service charge in your bill but not everything goes to employees,therefore we should appreciate them by giving some tips.
