1. If filled with obstacles? So let's start with the facts. There will be far more obstacles than you can imagine. Normalize getting punched in the mouth, knocked to the ground, and know that your ability to stand back up will be one of the most important skillsets to develop. No, not a PM software, not marketing, or even AI- Gasp! But can you stand back up? 2. After you master that, move to seeing obstacles and failure as data points. It's not personal, it's learning. You aren't broken, or stupid, or "should have gotten that MBA". You f'd around and found out. That's all. Adjust accordingly. 3. Peer Group. Key. Find someone who has done the thing you're about to do- and ask what they did well and what they didn't. Both equally important.

Getting a mentor is an amazing help to any endeavor. The challenge is that it’s very difficult to procure anyone to dedicate the required time it would be necessary to do so. With that being said, it’s always You vs. You and counting on finding a “mentor” can be a recipe for disaster.

In my experience, Mentorship and Coaching are key to sustainable leadership growth. The last decade has seen a large number of international, experienced, technocrats retiring from workforce. Seek mentorship, seek coaching! The wisdom is priceless. But, you must do what you have to do.

I often mentor founders and sometimes witness positive shifts in their performance and strategic decisions. Yet, I felt like a lone wolf in the startup world. It took me years to realize that I, too, needed an advisor, so I finally decided to seek mentorship. It was like finding a business Yoda; his wisdom and connections were priceless. This mentorship not only turbocharged my performance but also reinforced the idea that asking for help is cool, and giving back is even cooler.

What is crucial is your world view aka vision! The vision breeds mission based on your passion and so your entrepreneurial journey begets. The goals and tasks are mapped to execute and realise your mission and vision. Without clarity of vision, mission and goals it is futile to build entrepreneurial foundation and growth.

Challenges make us stronger to focus on our main goal. Therefore: 1) plan again 2) organise your resources again 3) lead again with alternatives 4) control yourself and your team effectively

I have seen a lot of wonderful journeys flushed down because the vision and goals were either not clear or wrong to be more apt about it. Your all efforts, endeavours and energy would be squandered in vain as you'll actually find yourself going nowhere. You can't keep changing your vision more than often else you'll come back to page 1 with no ground being settled whatsoever. You can define and choose the path to follow to reach your goals and objectives and will end up altering, amending and reforming your path, your ways more times than you can imagine, as it is inevitable and actually the best part of the journey. But it's very difficult to reorient the whole Caravan you'll be carrying with you to change the whole direction.

Twenty years ago, I attempted to be a superhero, tackling every task on my own. Spoiler alert: I’m not from Krypton. Moreover, the deadline for everything was just a couple of days away. Learning to delegate and take real breaks (not just coffee runs) was a game-changer, yet it was a tough decision. I was convinced I performed best at everything, especially under time pressure. It was challenging for me to accept that I was never Superman but often just lucky to meet deadlines with usually moderate results.

Prioritization is key. Not everything will have the same impact and not all resources are equal. Utilize technology where you can to build repeatable processes and reduce inefficiencies. Play to your own strengths and pull in others to execute on tasks that aren't your strong suit to avoid spinning and stay laser focused.

Time is vicious when you take it for granted. You can’t make it up on the back end. The worse utilization of Human Resources is to waste people’s time.

Time and energy are only finite resources that you can either invest to create value using measurable outcomes or exhaust them on work that sound interesting but don’t amount to success (topline or bottomline growth). In my experience, I believe it is best to devote time & effort to actions that have metric driven results. Many a time we have ended up spent and without any positive change, just because we felt that activity might result in improvements but seldom do. As a rule of thumb, it’s best to study existing business cases & learn from them. There is no need to reinvent the wheel but to grow upon experience of others in the business. In summary, select activities that can be measured to create value and be efficient about it.

any thing constant in this world is change. you need to prepare yourself for changes to become successful. there are many examples like Nokia who one time enjoyed majority share in mobile handsets but vanished as they did not embrace change.

In my experience, every success is built on failure. You learn from failure and improve for next attempt. So celebrating both success and failure is important. Every success big or small is important and needs to applaud for the same. Learning from failure also has to be captured and celebrated.

All the great success stories today will tell you that success is not instant. You don’t become a sensation overnight. As an entrepreneur you must realize you are in it for the long haul. So don’t be afraid to fail. You learn until you make it. The boldness to seek support, seek sponsorship, innovate, seek collaborative partnership stems from a foundation that failure is an option. If you go all in without planning for failure than you may find your setback harder to bounce back from. I’ve seen enthusiasm and energy and boldness of the entrepreneurs spirit crushed because we are misled to think that the chances for success favors the brave. True wisdom of sustainable entrepreneurship is understanding, success takes time!

We live in an era where we as leaders have enormous challenges to solve in the industry and beyond: - Creating a profitable business - Staffing crisis - Climate change - AI I believe that a considerable part of the solution lies in our beliefs about what leadership is: Our old leadership paradigm dominated by EGO is redundant - it characterises: - Command and control. - Centralised authority. - Self-interest. Ego isolates. Eco integrates. It's about less "command and control" and more "collaborate and empower." The true test of our leadership today? Turning the 'I' into 'we'. Because the moment we let go of 'me', we unlock the strength of 'us'.
