Usually, when it comes to software development projects, developers's go-to approach is to "make it functional first." This practice is both standard and highly beneficial. Most of the time, decision-makers release that version as the final version, totally ignoring the fact of the user experience. The initial thought process behind this decision is that the system is already working, so why do we need to spend more money to make it look good? The customer will not care about it. This is 100% wrong. Customers do care about a good-looking, easy-to-use system rather than a system where they have to go through a hard learning curve to use full functionality. So, we need to create a balance during budget estimation.
