Here's how you can continuously improve your skills as a consultant.

I dedicate 1 to 2 hours to learning and continuing education every week. I usually choose the topic based on two things: 1. What will be relevant to my current project or client? 2. What are the hot topics/trends out there? - Everyone seems to be an expert now on GenAI for example. You cannot become an expert in one week or one month, but you can certainly begin to build knowledge around it if you dedicate a couple of hours per week to it.

Buscar retroalimentación. 1. Solicitar retroalimentación regularmente: al finalizar proyectos pide feedback a tus clientes, colaboradores y supervisores. 2. Sé específico: en las consultas de áreas a mejorar, comunicación, análisis, gestión, etc. 3. Crea un entorno abierto: ambiente cálido, honesto, colaborativo, agradecer las opiniones. 4. Usa herramientas de evaluación: encuestas, cuestionarios, entrevistas. 5. Analiza la retroalimentación: áreas de atención e intereses, comentarios, mejoras. 6. Actúa sobre la retroalimentación: plan de acción, áreas ha mejorar, comunicación efectiva. 7. Agradece y comunica progresos: a los que brindan retroalimentación los cambios gracias a sus comentarios. 8. Autoevaluación: siempre evalúa tu trabajo.

The saying, "Discomfort is a catalyst for growth", stands true! We often retreat from the opportunity to meet new challenges. Fear & discomfort of not being knowledgeable enough, not having all the answers, or feeling that we aren't polished enough or as well spoken as others, hold us back. The time to combat this discomfort is when it first creeps into your head! Immediately say an affirmation to counteract it and then take an action that empowers you. When any self doubt presents, say out loud how you've done it before or learned things that were harder and then call someone or put into writing how your going to nail it! When you simulate the win in your mind, and you practice to feel prepared, doubts disappear and your ready to grow!

Building a community by yourself that can benefit your personal brand - is a great practice to have for a long career as a consultant! Engaging with your community is equally important for you to sustain your network base. Use digital tools that let you categorize your audience and send them relevant content that is specifically relevant to them. Keep your conversations casual and not machine-like to create a lasting impression. After all, your NETWORK is your NET WORTH! :)

One tree never makes a forest, same with consultants. The right network (friends, groups, professionals associations, etc.) will always provide the right information, knowledge, and development. As a consultant, it’s not a choice but an unsaid and unwritten policy of permanence that you must network! No consultant is an island or works alone, they’re always immersed in a niche of fellow consultants.

The only constant thing in life is change. Nothing ever remains the same for too long, be it knowledge or it’s application. A dynamic or skilled consultant knows this and actively stays abreast with changes in the areas such as industry, business, marketing, strategies, communication styles, technology, innovation, and more. This is why he/she is called a ‘consultant’ because they’re expected to be ‘current’ with trends and its relatives.

Em minha opinião, vejo de suma importância que as pessoas e os profissionais busque uma formação e especialização que realmente ame em desenvolver. E deve está sempre atualizado e participando de eventos diversos,principalmente da sua área de atuação, deve também desenvolver aprendizado no pacote Office, idiomas e afins e ficar sempre em evidência.
