Desarrollar las cualidades clave de un gestor de proyectos exitoso es fundamental para liderar equipos eficientes y alcanzar objetivos organizacionales. Aquí te explico cómo puedes hacerlo: Dominar la comunicación efectiva es crucial. Debes ser claro al transmitir información, instrucciones y expectativas tanto verbalmente como por escrito. Esto incluye escuchar activamente a tu equipo y a las partes interesadas para entender sus necesidades y preocupaciones. Inspirar y motivar a tu equipo es esencial. Debes ser capaz de liderar con el ejemplo, mostrar confianza en las habilidades de tus colaboradores y alentar un ambiente de trabajo positivo. Reconocer los logros y manejar los desafíos con resolución son parte de este rol.

Segun mi experiencia, un lider se nace y se hace. Yo formo lideres desde el Neurocoaching. Hay que liderar con el ejemplo, no podemos pedir al equipo que haga lo que nosotros lideres no hacemos. Para inspirar hay que comunicar, donde estamos, hacia donde vamos y que haremos para llegar, en lenguaje metaforico. Hay que persuadir, como lideres, lograr que los demas hagan lo que nosotros queremos pero que lo hagan voluntariamente, para eso tenemos que desarrollar dos habilidades del liderazgo, el hablar efectivo y la escucha activa, para indentificar que necesidades, areas de aprendizaje tienen los integrantes de mi equipo, asi le facilitamos el lograr los objetivos que se propone la organizacion de manera eficiente.

Learn the balance between listening and speaking. Each person within the projects needs to also have their needs met, and your role is to guide the project forward while considering those needs. Listening actively is key and will help the team ide tidy the pinch points of the project and where attention should be centered.

Communication mastery in executive coaching is pivotal for leadership success. It encompasses clear, persuasive, and empathetic communication skills that inspire teams and align stakeholders. Coaches enhance executives' self-awareness of their communication styles, strengths, and areas needing improvement, employing techniques like active listening and adaptive strategies. I coach all my clients to set clear and measurable expectations with their teams with specific time frames and get agreement from each person. Once expectations are set it becomes easy to have authentic conversations with team members.

Simplify your approach to communication. Take a design oriented approach. - Start with who (Who will be in the room? Who will read the message? Who will receive the message?) - Anticipate their objectives. - Know your objective. - Design for next steps. (What’s next? Who will take the action? When?) Simplify. Design. Execute.

El éxito en la gestión de un proyecto tiene tantas caras como interesados en el mismo. Entonces, ¿cuántos modelos de comunicación se necesitan para "cada éxito"? Organizational acumen is about knowing who to approach for what. Sometimes, that access is disturbed, but you will generally get the answers you need by probing what is possible and what is not. You will be astonished by what you can achieve by asking a few well-chosen questions. People generally love to talk about their work, and if they do not judge you as a risk for their work/functioning, they will be keen to tell you everything you need. The excellent project manager goes about his work, making explicitly clear what he needs and why, so if there are no security risks, there is no reason why he would not get this information.

La habilidades organizativas deben estar aparejadas con nuestras habilidades comunicativas, puesto que así los colaboradores pueden apostar por los esfuerzos si son conscientes de los plazos y las urgencias. Los hitos son importantes cuando los señalamos, los comunicamos y hacemos de la estrategia la gestión diaria.

Um fator relevante e que muitas vezes não é levado em consideração é a tendência dos eventos. Sim é importante manter-se presente com as deadlines e as ações mais pertinentes. Procure antecipar possíveis problemas e desafios relacionados ao projeto com base em sua experiência, na experiência da equipe e também em eventos anteriores e semelhantes. Ao definir o calendário do projeto, leve em consideração as tendencias das ações e eventos e não apenas o que pode ser visto como urgente e importante. Considere o impacto real dessas atividades para decidir ações preventivas e corretivas. A visão sistêmica é uma grande aliada nesses momentos - enxergar o todo auxilia em tomadas de decisões mais efetivas.

Relacionamento interpessoal O gerente de projetos que consegue identificar o perfil comportamental dos integrantes do time em diferentes áreas, rapidamente faz a adaptação da comunicação estabelecendo o relacionamento interpessoal, reconhecendo assim as limitações e potencial, gerando sinergia entre as áreas envolvidas no projeto, otimizando o tempo de entrega e mantendo o clima organizacional.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies. Learn from past projects and continuously update your risk management plans.

To collaborate optimally, the project manager and team members must understand each member's strengths. That way, a maximum result can occur because everyone involved knows where to look for skills and how to use them best. Try to divide the work evenly so that the burden of more significant parts of the work stays balanced. Getting the workload unbalanced is a sure way of creating issues. Keeping things in balance will add to the team's resilience, so they will quickly bounce back when the going gets rough.

Team collaboration works best when each member of each team involved in the project clearly understands the project goal(s), and stakeholder expectations. A key part of successful collaboration is also transparency at each step. Here's an example: An automotive manufacturer tasks the corporate training department with providing retail dealerships with product information PRIOR to a new vehicle's launch. When the product planning department is approached for media assets, they refuse to provide the materials citing unauthorised use as a concern. By having both department teams meet with the stakeholders, they all understand the desired outcome, timeline and materials needed. Dealerships have the materials on time; the launch is a success.

Team Building: Foster a positive team environment. Organize team-building activities and encourage open communication. Regularly recognize and reward your team’s achievements.

In our pursuit of becoming exemplary project managers, we must integrate not just professional growth but also Spiritual Intelligence. Reflecting on our experiences should go beyond surface-level analysis. We need to ask ourselves deeper questions: How did this challenge shape my character? What did I learn about patience and empathy? By aligning our inner values with our professional goals, we create a holistic approach to growth that enhances our leadership and also fosters a more harmonious and inspired team environment. True continuous improvement is about nurturing both our professional skills and our Spiritual Well-Being. Excellence in project management is as much about inner development as it is about external achievements.

Continuous improvement (kaizen) requires asking questions about each result, whether the result has a positive or negative impact on the project. Only by analyzing the results at each milestone can waste (muda) be removed allowing the project to move forward to meet budget and completion time requirements. Here's an example: The warranty cost on a certain part exceeds projections due to excessive failure rates. Why is the failure rate high? An internal part of the assembly is incorrectly machined. Why? The bore depth of a seal is incorrect. Why? The employee setting up the machine set the bore depth incorrectly. Why? The employee who set the bore depth incorrectly was not sufficiently trained. Training courses are adapted to address gaps.

Coaching isn't always the right solution. To learn project management, do the relevant project management certification like APM. Coaching tends to be more useful when you know what you should be doing but for somereason you can't put your finger on don't do it.
