Some of the ways that I have used in developing my brand: =>taking courses in Stage Power. =>improving my listening skills by listening with empathy, listening without judgement, listening to learn. => utilizing my body language to convey the message. When I am coaching, I coach by not teaching. I want them to listen to think about what I am saying and how it applies to their unique situation. I provide them the support and feedback that allows them to grow and feel empowered by their choices.
Staying abreast of industry trends can give you an edge. Familiarize yourself with the latest sales tools and technologies that can streamline coaching processes.
Networking remains a powerful tool for career advancement. Attend industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to connect with peers and leaders. Offer to speak or conduct workshops to showcase your expertise. Building relationships within the industry can lead to new opportunities and provide you with valuable insights into what employers are looking for in top-tier sales coaches.
-

One of the most powerful ways to network is to reach out to organizations that align with what you are doing in sales. Ask to be a guest speaker at events where you can talk about particular subjects that are of interest to the audience. You become that person who is recognized as the go to person in the industry to speak to.
Consider mentoring less experienced sales professionals or volunteering to lead team initiatives. This not only enhances your leadership skills but also showcases your commitment to the growth of others. Employers value coaches who can develop talent and foster a culture of continuous improvement, making mentorship an attractive quality.

I have two thoughts on this area. => as a former mentor I found that I was solving their problems instead of allowing the to figure it out for themselves with ideas. I left mentoring due coach where I found it more effective. => as a sales coach I enjoy listening to the sales people and their thoughts from sales training and then asking them the questions to think about how and why that training will make a difference to them and their Circle of Influence. => the big win is seeing understanding in their eyes and faces as becomes clear to them and the shift in body language and tone of voice. That to me is worth it each time in coaching.
Lastly, regularly reflect on your coaching experiences and be open to adapting your approach. Gather feedback from those you've coached and colleagues to understand your strengths and areas for improvement. This self-awareness and willingness to grow can make you a more effective coach and an appealing candidate to employers who value personal and professional development.
