Realize that you don't have to be old, to be wise! However, the older you are, generally the wiser you are...... Especially in today's world! Common sense is not much of a common thing anymore, and for the past 10-15 years i've realized 1 glaring thing............ a LOT of younger folks "mental fortitude" is only about HALF their chronological age!! tienes que tener claro hacia donde perfilas tu carrera, si tu idea es entrar de fondo a la programación y automatización, el enfoque que tienes que tomar es capacitarte seguido y estar al dia con los nuevos avances que saquen las marcas lideres en el mercado, por otro lado, si quieres dedicarte a la gestion de estos proyectos, tienes que estar desarrollando habilidades blandas, que te permitan transmitir las bases o conocimientos generales de la robótica (los cuales se mantienen) y de esta forma convertirte en un proyect manager o capacitador.

One way I try to combat age bias is to try not to exhibit it myself. Sometimes people in my age group make ourselves seem older and crankier because we're the ones complaining about the younger folks. The best way to stay timeless is to enjoy working with people from all generations. We all have so much to learn from each other. Stay relevant by not getting stuck in old patterns and by embracing new ideas!

To avoid age bias in robotics, we need to appreciate the skills of both young and older people. Young people often have new ideas and tech skills, while older people have lots of experiences but this might not be always true. Mixing ages in teams and learning from each other helps everyone. Schools and workplaces should encourage all ages to work and learn together. Leaders should support everyone equally, focusing on what they contribute rather than their age. This way, we create strong, diverse and creative teams.

Is there any age bias in this field? In contrary i find more senior (in age) specialists are the one who are facing challenges… robotics - especially after having a large community of hobbyists- tends to be linked to young age groups

I believe education, knowledge, and previous experience are usually more of a consideration. To alter an old adage, “ It’s not who you know, it’s what you know”. The bias may come with a company who wants to train someone as part of their position to hopefully assure longevity, but employers with immediate need for an experienced individual will likely opt for a proven track record first.
