That's the question you should target. Make a name for yourself. Become a personal brand by posting videos about a specific topic which then becomes your niche. For example my niche is the maritime industry, especially seafarers. So get on select a topic and keep posting about it till the topic is synonymous with your name and there you go you have your niche

Choose the channel where you audience is active and has the right mindset. My audience is active on Instagram and LinkedIn. But their mindset is different when they use LinkedIn vs Instagram. Different channels also require different video formats and lengths. Where creativity is important on Instagram, on LinkedIn the audience is more focused on the key message. Learn about the behavior of your audience on the channel you want to use.

Again, sometimes you have to start to discover what works for you! For instance, you might start with TikTok only to discover ... Or you might start with YT and then realize YT shorts is what drives you!

You can film yourself against the most beautiful backdrop, edit the best video, get the audio pitch perfect and think you’ve ticked all the boxes, but without a seriously good eye catching thumbnail, your video won’t get the attention it deserves. Focus on making a thumbnail that encapsulates what your video is about. Things to note: 1. Try to keep text to a minimum - use the title and description area to add explainer text and key words, not your thumbnail. 2. Use consistent colours that align with your brand, and ensure these colours are user friendly. 3. If you’re going to include yourself in the thumbnail, try and resist the urge to copy Mr Beasts jaw dropping reactions. Do better. 😉
