I worked at a country club where a large round table with eight chairs was available for any one to join the group in the dining room. In contrast, when my daughter started her first year at a new public school in a new state she was rebuffed when she sat down with a group and told to eat in the library by her self. She eventually joined other rejects and became what is referred to as a cutter. She continued to slide downhill. She has relied upon government subsidies for fifteen years and is classified as mentally disabled with repetitious obsessive compulsions. I should have suggested something to the school to help other students.
