How can you use Figma for rapid prototyping?

Figma grows rapidly onnthe market. The community gives more amd more valuable contributions than ever. Once Adobe will not buy Figma, it will grow more in my opinion. At the moment it’s the most powerful tool on the market for creating prototypes, user flowes, presentation decks etc. Prototyping in Figma is easy with ability to create interactive elements. It’s the tool to create a better engagement. The another great feature is collboration. Sharing a file and working on it simultaneously is something that can’t be not appreciated.

When you have many projects on your dasboard especially within one team/project, it’s good idea to set up a firt page as Cover and create a visual. On the frame, right click and in the middle of the contextual menu there is „set as thumbnail”. It allows for quick indentification and organisation. I use color code, icon, shape. You can get your own method.

Valuable tip here is when you share prototype with end user and you want the project to look good on their screen, in the top right menu options click „fit to screen”. That allows to scale the presentation to the resolution and will avoid cropping off.

Good practice when starting any project is to get at least the besic UI: colour styles, font stacking, componenets. These elements will help on a later stage when the testing and feedback occurs. It allows for quick and global change of those elements and values. Figma is great with this. The app allows to group and organise colour and font styles. Grid system can be set as a style. Componenents can have their own variables to show different styles e.g. hoover. Using componenets allows to change the shape or adjust alignment.
