As a local elected official in a small Colorado mountain town, we've been able to do a number of things locally - electrifying our cars and equipment, bringing in an all-electric Subaru (AWD) as a Carshare vehicle, having our utility Xcel install a large battery-backed microgrid to replace a diesel generator at our Community Center (critical infrastructure) starting a composting program, buying only carbon-free electricity, promoting and engineering walkability bike-ability across town, installing more EV chargers, and providing free bus passes for our entire community.
