What do you do if you need to use logical reasoning to evaluate options in large group facilitation?

In large group facilitation, using logical reasoning is foundational for me. I start by clarifying goals, which act as the compass for our discussions. The 5D problem (Define, Deconstruct, Drive Decide and Deliver) solving has been my favourite approach when it comes to getting alignment and coherence and focus with larger teams be it your own team or cross functional teams. This approach like any other also calls for getting quality data together to define the problem and we also need data from success stories from same organisation or competition.

Any problem solving or goal setting exercise will give several options to consider. We must keep in mind if the option is scalable , sustainable and if it will achiever the organization goals in the stipulated time and within the allocated funds . That option is likely to be the most ideal.

Logical reasoning in facilitation involves continuous reflection and adaptation eg, after a decision to merge two departments, where reflecting on the process helped improve future mergers.
