You admire someone in your field. What’s the best way to approach them?

I have definitely learned what not to do. Don’t approach them for a tickle fight after the first introduction. Just saying. Learn from my mistakes.

However, often the person at the other end gets so many requests/inmail emails etc that sometimes they miss out on replying to each and every person. So, my things has to been to reach with earnestness, tell them how/why they have inspired you, and then dont expect any reply in return.
