    Belong in Bartlett is the new brand campaign recently launched by a5 Branding & Digital in Bartlett, IL. Designed to help build a community identity and promote economic development, the campaign will roll out gradually over the next few years through community events, social media, advertising, PR and more. It’s designed to be targeted to each audience—inside (the community) and outside (economic development and visitors) with the ability to use any of these three: I Belong in Bartlett, We Belong in Bartlett and You Belong in Bartlett.     For 30 years, Bauer Latoza Studio built a reputation for historic preservation and architecture for existing buildings. Ten years ago, Eddie Torrez and Andrea Terry became owners and principals, while the firm name remained the same. Now called Arda (for architecture, restoration, design), the firm has redoubled its focus on preservation. The new brand is fresh and bold, and the new a5-developed website presents the firm’s work—ranging from Pullman National Historical Park to the Muddy Waters MOJO Museum to University of Illinois Chicago—in a clear, elegant, easy-to-understand format.     a5 principal John Harris and Way Back Inn executive director Anita Pindiur delivered a presentation at the annual Illinois Council on Problem Gambling (ICPG) conference last week. a5 and Way Back Inn lead the Are You Really Winning? marketing campaign to help people in Illinois with gambling issues. During the presentation, Harris and Pindiur raised awareness of the impact of gambling and how people can get help by calling 1.800.GAMBLER.

    We love the Illinois City Management Association (ILCMA) and sponsor the organization annually as it fulfills its mission to help professionals better manage communities. We enjoyed seeing, connecting and learning from so many at the summer conference in Galena last week, including a keynote by “For the Love of Cities” author Peter Kageyama.

    As a firm focused on placemaking, we at a5 are proud to provide outreach, engagement and communication for the Oak Park Avenue infrastructure and streetscape improvement project. TERRA Engineering, Ltd., Design Workshop, the Village of Oak Park and a5 will host an open house on Tuesday, June 25 from 6pm to 8pm at the Oak Park Library (834 Lake Street) in the Veterans Room. We at a5 Branding & Digital are proud to work with Illinois Park & Recreation Association to raise awareness and impact behavior by marketing Unplug Illinois Day, which is Saturday, July 13.     We unveiled the new brand for IAMMA, the association for young professionals in government, at the annual conference. The colorful, contemporary and flexible new graphic identity is complemented by the tagline "Find Your Path Forward" and a supporting theme line "The Next Generation of Public Leaders". The aim: to help inject energy into the Illinois Association of Municipal Management Assistants as the organization pursues growth. Thank you to IAMMA leadership for the opportunity!
