We have one more honoree to share from this weekend's Evening of Excellence. This event is a great celebration of your work across our district, but also a moment for us to thank our Governor for a year of leadership and commitment. Governor Laurel McEuen, Director of Marketing Standard Paints, Inc. Wood Defender, received her gavel on Saturday and will hand over the reigns on July 1st. Thank you, Laurel, and congratulations on all of your successes. ---------- A note from the Governor: With the conclusion of Advent10n, another incredible year with our friends in D10 is almost behind us. It's been a year full of welcome challenges and successes, and none of our wins would have been accomplished without you, our district committees and our local clubs and leaders. You do great work in all of our markets, setting the standard and recognizing outstanding advertising. Whether it's through the American Advertising Awards, your commitment to DEI, your informative programming, or all the hard work you do to keep government out of advertising, your commitment has shined all year. As Governor, it was my goal to allow our chairs and committee members’ talent to shine and to give you the runway to do the work you love. You did not disappoint! From star-studded programs, all-in support for our students, and an all-around great conference, you've made the Executive Committee very proud to serve you. District 10 is a bright light among our peers and in the broader landscape of AAF, and it has been an honor to lead this group of professionals. As we look forward to Admerica, my commitment to you stays the same. In the coming year I look forward to continuing to volunteer alongside you - planning our ILA event, working on club development, and supporting our incoming Governor A.B. Barrera to ensure another successful year. My sincerest thanks to Candace Pittman, Crystal Gonzales, Patty Eldrige, Sabrina Sturtevant, and Zivorad Filipovic for making Advent10n and NSAC a massive success. I hold a profound, heartfelt gratitude for all my chairs, and EC, A.B. Barrera., Austin Sandy, Crystal, Megan Nelson, CPC, and Kevin Dobbs, for being by my side all year. It's been a pleasure to serve as your Governor and a true joy to be your friend.
