Be an AWESOME Supervisor! Tip 32/54 "Scheduling Brain Breaks Between leading and managing your team and completing your own assigned tasks, you probably have extremely busy days. To stay sharp throughout the day, add brain breaks to your schedule. Every 55 to 90 minutes, our brain goes into a little slump because we have used up all the available glucose and oxygen in our brain. When we try to force our way through those times, we wear out more quickly as the day progresses and aren’t as focused for key tasks. To offset these brain slumps, it’s important to remember a few things: Breakfast: It really is the most important meal of the day; eating breakfast will help set your blood sugar level at an appropriate level. Snacks: Find healthy snacks and have them around so that you can get to them throughout the day. Leaders can’t live on cookies.
