ACEC started the RNC Convention week with a golf outing at Erin Hills with Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC) – the chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee – and Chris Winkelman, the Executive Director of the NRCC. ACEC’s Chair-elect John Rathke participated, along with the Executive Committee Vice-Chair Dan Meckes, ACEC Executive Vice President Steve Hall, Vice President for Political Affairs Dave Bender, and the presidents of ACEC Wisconsin and ACEC Minnesota — Chris Klein and Jon Curry. In addition, Allison Schneider, ACEC senior director of communications, is fostering national press contacts with influential news outlets, and also met this afternoon with Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith and Congressman Darrel Issa from California.
