Project 2025 is the roadmap for a tyrant. It lays out a plan for extremist politicians to trample our most fundamental rights — but we have the playbook to fight back. Learn more at ACLU.org/project2025.
About us
The ACLU is an non-profit, non-partisan organization of people who believe in the power of action. We are united by the quest – “We the people dare to create a more perfect union.” Whether in the courts, statehouses, Congress or communities, we fight to defend the rights that the Constitution guarantees to all of us —regardless of who we are, where we come from, whom we love, or what we believe. Together, we take up the toughest civil rights and liberties challenges of our time. We seek to inspire those who want change to become the ones who make change.

For 3 years, the Affordable Connectivity Program kept more than 20 million households connected to the internet. Now, the ACP is out of funding and millions of people, particularly people in marginalized communities, are left without affordable internet access. Congress can act now to ensure no household is shut out of the online world.

NEW: We filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against Aon for deceptively marketing their online hiring assessments as “bias-free,” even though the tests likely discriminate against people based on characteristics like race or disability. Employers should not use online hiring products falsely claiming to be bias free that still carry a high risk of discrimination.

We are thrilled that our Drag Defense Fund has been chosen as a winner of a Halo Award in the advocacy category. Drag is a right, not a crime, and we will always fight to defend that right. Thank you to RuPaul’s Drag Race, World of Wonder, Engage for Good, and all of our partners who support our work defending the right of all people to express themselves.
