Excited for this investment in drug repurposing by Every Cure and Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H)! This biological breakthrough is needed for 9k+ untreated diseases across 400 million people globally. Clinical trials will still be required to confirm the treatments in people so we're positioning Adaptic Health to be the AI-driven platform streamlining the operations of clinical research. The future is bright. #rarediseaseday #clinicaltrials

To kick-off JMP Healthcare Summit we partnered with MBX Capital to co-host a salon on #Exposome — the study of how toxic exposures influence our health outcomes. Exposomics, a dynamic and rapidly advancing field, employs sophisticated AI, chemical analysis, and biological modeling to understand the causes of various illnesses. The salon brought together a select group of high-growth startup founders, investors, scientists, and industry partners. Over a shared meal, we engaged in meaningful discussion about the most pressing issues and investable opportunities in public health today.

Adaptic Health (https://lnkd.in/egagk74A) uses AI to identify key factors for running cost-effective drug trials with reduced risk. Their work focuses on accelerating treatments for hard-to-treat conditions. Many of these treatments have been historically difficult for pharmaceutical companies to pursue due to regulatory and trial complexities. It’s challenging for medical breakthroughs to pass successfully through clinical trials, especially in smaller patient populations. Adaptic Health’s SaaS product is a trial design platform where clinical researchers can review a library of past FDA decisions, simulate design tradeoffs relevant for their clinical development program, and share the trial plan with regulators, experts, patient groups, and other stakeholders. Adaptic Health has the potential to open new doors to treat conditions that might not typically receive attention or funding from researchers. CEO Luke Stewart has found that the majority of people working in the healthcare industry want to have a positive impact, and they’re often motivated by a personal story of loss. He believes that the Adaptic Health team has the opportunity to renew the culture of the industry to make the individual work more humanizing by using technology to reduce the tedious effort and improve the quality and accuracy of the output. Under Luke’s leadership, Adaptic Health is working toward system-level disruption of healthcare to digitize the clinical development process, starting with design.
