"Cobotics" - Robotics with human collaboration are the future of construction robotics. Many people think of humanoid machines when they think of robots, but TyBOT and IronBOT are helping pave the path to a modern workforce with construction robots with no humanoid features, according to International Construction. 🤖🤝 Check out their article here: https://lnkd.in/emDpJvXP #Cobots #InnovatingInfrastructure #PathToAModernWorkforce #TyBOT #IronBOT

About us
A leading provider of robotic equipment, ACR is transforming the construction industry by filling the skilled labor gap and increasing overall productivity. Our robots give construction firms the ability to consistently meet growing demand, reduce scheduling risks and improve safety. TyBOT®, ACR’s first product, is a rebar tying robot that self-navigates, self-ties, and does not require programming or BIM plan input from the working crew. TyBOT’s partner, IronBOT, will lift, carry, and install rebar when it comes to market in 2022. If you would like more information, please contact us at [email protected]

Let’s Talk About It 🗣️ TyBOT’s purpose is to tie rebar intersections, but what does that entail? Tie wire is a versatile, strong wire used primarily to secure rebar in place before concrete is poured. It ensures that the rebar remains stable and properly positioned during concrete pouring and under tension loads. Various types of tie wire and ties are available; currently, TyBOT utilizes 16.5 gauge AWG Poly-coated tie wire to make single snaps. The single tie/snap is quick and simple for light reinforcement. Properly tied rebar results in a stronger, safer, and more reliable structure. It's a small component that plays a big role in the world of construction! 🚧 #TieWire #TyBOT #Rebar #Reinforcing #ConstructionInnovation

Did you catch a glimpse of the robot working on the US-12 Clearwater Memorial Bridge in Lewiston? Yep, you heard that right, a robot! This high-tech robot is taking on the tough, repetitive job of tying hundreds of pieces of rebar together before the concrete gets poured. The robot is expandable from 10 – 117 feet while self-locating and tying 1,200 + intersections per hour. The rate is roughly equivalent to two experienced workers working side by side!
