From Poland we move on to Germany… Today we kicked off the next collaboration between NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and the Project Mercury Innovators Forum! Shout out to our very own coaches Bart Hollants & Jeroen Franssen, our previous Project Mercury alumni and coaches (Thomas Belka, Danny Mckenzie) that support us, and our German and NATO AIRCOM hosts at Ramstein Air Base! Our first NATO Cohort will follow the full Project Mercury program, a twelve-week innovation course focusing on fostering the innovative mindset needed to achieve innovation in a military setting. During the Jumpstart, teams will get to know each other, delineate the problem space they will tackle and start to work on developing their innovative capacity to create solutions. We look forward to it, and the exciting journey teams will embark on! #WeAreNATO #WeAreInnovators W. Ethan Eagle🔴🟡 Melissa "Cleo" Smith Kelley Sloan Sawyer Jeff DeGraff

🚨 Now accepting applications to Thunderstorm 24-4 for “Expeditionary Operations”! 🚨 👉 Thunderstorm brings together tech developers and DoD reps with a focus on specific mission areas or technologies. Companies get visibility by motivated DoD reps and feedback, as well as in-sector B2B connections. DoD reps get insight into new-to-us tech that helps solve their specific challenges. 👉 What is Thunderstorm 24-4? In partnership with the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab and other DoD partners, Thunderstorm 24-4 will focus on exploring emerging solutions for navigating and detecting threats in unfamiliar and potentially contested environments, enabling continued communications with far forward deployed forces, and ensuring deployed forces can access key supplies. Whether it's making supply delivery more resilient or providing the ability to generate and maintain critical resources like food, power, and parts at the point of need, this showcase is where innovation meets critical operational needs. 👉 What is “Expeditionary Operations”? Here’s the highlights; see the RFI for full details. 👉 👉 👉 Expeditionary Command and Control (C2): Examples include robust/secure and extended range comms to support expeditionary operations in remote and contested environments, particularly satellite-denied areas. 👉👉 👉 Enhanced Mobility and Awareness: Includes UxS navigation while LPI/LPD; operations in GPS-denied environment; and situational awareness tools that convey the location of friendly forces and other relevant entities. 👉👉 👉 Resilient Logistics / Point of Need Generation / Casualty Care: Sustaining forces during expeditionary operations will strain logistical support capabilities. Innovation solutions can ensure critical deliveries reach their destination, enable deployed forces to produce resources in-situ, or prolong the functionality of deployed assets. 👉 When and where? Thunderstorm 24-4 is 04-08 November in Fredericksburg, VA. 👉 How to submit? Visit the RFI and complete a streamlined application describing your proposed solution. The deadline is 5PM on 09 August. We’ll review applications with MCWL and notify you in late August if you’re selected for Thunderstorm 24-4. 🚨 Click here for more details about the RFI and to apply: https://lnkd.in/ep5Q9_4m 🚨 ✉ Message me if you’d like to be added to our email distro list for other I&M events like this, including JIFX, Thunderstorm, JPEM, and our Solutions Meetings. #DefenseInnovation #DoD #DoDInnovationand #SBIR #STTR #GovernmentInnovation #DualUseTech #DualUse #AUKUS
