    Hi LinkedIn family! As Q2 is getting underway I wanted to resurface this post. My Q1 prediction mostly came true; we saw a smaller influx in hiring than what was predicted (not by me) and we felt the 'do more with less' mentality in full force. #seed, #seriesa, #seriesb, #startups, if you are not working with a consultant or an in-house TA/people ops person you are taking a risk. You are risking your employer brand, your culture and values, and your ability to reach revenue goals, and so much more. Let consultants help you mitigate the risks. 1.     The only employer branding game plan you’ll ever need: 1️⃣ Define your employer value proposition in roughly eight words 2️⃣ Showcase your company culture, values, and mission on social media platforms 3️⃣ Engage with your followers consistently and authentically 4️⃣ Create engaging and authentic job descriptions and content 5️⃣ Collect and share employee testimonials and reviews 6️⃣ Monitor your online reputation consistently I know I know, you’re thinking… “It’s not that simple…” And you’re right. It’s not. I’ve done it 10+ times. So it’s easy for me to say. But if you’re starting out… Following these three golden rules will make it 10x easier: ✅ Be consistent and transparent in your communication ✅ Highlight your unique benefits and perks ✅ Encourage your teams to be active on social media Here’s the thing… You CAN build teams for long-term retention. Go get it! Here’s a 10-second breakdown of how I used just one website to help me double the size of a Series A startup in under one year and grow many others. _ I use Built In to showcase the company culture and values and to highlight members of the team as well as members of the leadership team. I also integrate it with the ATS to make it easy to post open roles and receive applications. Built In is also a great place to share general company information like benefits offered, size, funding round, industry, and so on.     AKTP's top five AI recommendations to streamline and simplify your hiring process (…steal this to build teams quickly and with less time commitment from expensive team members): 1️⃣ Resume Parser AI: Quickly sorts and ranks resumes by relevance. Your ATS likely has this built-in. If not, check out Sovren Group (a Textkernel company). Use resume parser tools responsibly. Human eyes are still the best option. 2️⃣ Virtual Interview Assistant: Automates interviews using video. This is an awesome way to conduct initial screens or conduct meet and greets. Your ATS may have this feature built-in but if not check out myInterview. 3️⃣ Skills Assessment AI: Evaluates candidates' skills objectively and quickly. This is a large category and is dependent on what types of skills you are looking for; soft or hard. It's great to find skills assessment in the same tool as your video interviewing. 4️⃣ Job Description Creation AI: Tools like ChatGPT and Jasper.ai can help you create JD's fast and mostly accurately. Always confirm info and put your personal touch on JD's before posting them. 5️⃣ Automated Reference Checking: If you're checking references a tool like VidCruiter can speed up the process as well as free up your time. These are tools I use to help my #startup clients hire in less time. Now it’s yours. Enjoy! Where should we start? Change your world today by starting with a resume parser tool. We know that companies are receiving 100's of applies to their open roles and with decimated recruiting teams, or no recruiting team at all, reviewing each of them with human eyes is not possible.     Q1 is coming in hot! What are you doing to optimize your recruitment processes? Here are a couple of tips that you can implement today. ✅ Clearly define and agree on each person's role in the process. ✏ Review your application and make sure it is less than four steps and enabled to use a LinkedIn profile in place of, or in addition to, a resume. 👀 Review and update your employer branding materials. Make sure that the content you have out in the world is accurate, up to date, and in the right places. ⏰ Define and agree upon your SLAs for communication both internally and externally to your candidates. 👩💻 Review your interview workflow. To provide an awesome candidate experience try to create an interview journey that is four steps or less. If you can't keep to four steps or less, be sure those additional steps serve a purpose and are intentional. And be sure that each interviewer knows and is comfortable with their area of focus. 🤑 Be prepared to make an offer the minute you identify the right person for the role. Work with Finance and other approvers at the beginning of the process so there are no delays at offer time. We are so excited for Q1!     Experiences are so important right now. We are starting to see more hiring as we move into Q1 so how do you create a memorable and unique hiring experience...especially when you may have had a layoff in the last year? Designing a unique hiring experience starts with your company values. The experience a candidate has with your organization should match your value set and your employer branding. If you say that you are transparent, creative, customer-first, fast-moving, etc., then show candidates that every time they interact with you. Create a hiring plan that includes ways to shine a light on your values. For example, if your value is transparency, be honest about your salary range in your job posting, talk about compensation early and often, share your leadership philosophy, and even better, share the hiring manager's leadership philosophy. When a candidate walks away saying 'I didn't get the job, but I still really want to work there' you've won. 🏆
