St. Philip's College's swimming program has a long history of serving the community, dating back to the era of segregation. Named after William Allen Hudgins, who taught Black children from San Antonio’s Eastside how to swim, the program continues this summer through Kids’ Academy camps in partnership with the YMCA of Greater San Antonio. Swimming lessons are available throughout June and July. Visit the link for more details. 🏊♂️🌞 https://lnkd.in/g9zjKbMx

Exciting news! The Alamo Colleges District is partnering with the YMCA of Greater San Antonio to make higher education and childcare more accessible for student parents and working families. With one in five Alamo Colleges students being parents, affordable childcare is a crucial need. We're #AlamoPROUD to partner to better support our student parents in balancing their family responsibilities and educational goals.
