Happy New Year everyone! We are very proud of all of our brothers and their accomplishments throughout 2023 and would like to highlight a few of them: • We have welcomed 50+ new members to our chapter from our Beta Theta & Beta Iota Pledge Classes. • Our brothers have secured internships at numerous renowned companies, some of which include Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., J.P. Morgan, EY, PwC, and many more. • We raised around $30,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in order to help fund childhood cancer research. • We had our largest alumni weekend ever with over 60 people returning to visit. Beta Upsilon thanks you for following our accomplishments this year and we’re looking forward to an even greater 2024!

Congratulations to our newest brothers, the Beta Iota pledge class! By completing one-on-ones with brothers, a case competition, and even a networking project, they have prospered through the pledging process and transformed into business leaders. The brotherhood is extremely proud of your hard work and dedication throughout. Thank you to our VP of Recruitment, Caroline Harris, for guiding Beta Iota to full membership into the chapter. Congratulations!

Earlier this month, 3 of our brothers flew to Bergen, Norway to participate in the NHH international case competition. These brothers represented USC exceptionally well by coming out on top and taking first place! The team was presented with a case for a Norwegian retail company, Reitan Retail. Teams from all over the world competed in the case at the Norwegian School of Economics. This is an annual, internationally recognized, and prestigious competition involving tremendous preparation for a 24 hour presentation turn around. Sponsored by Bain & Company, this was a fantastic opportunity for professional recognition on an individual and institutional level. A huge congratulations to brothers Su Bin Park, Jack Marshall, and Cameron Overton for their outstanding achievement! Additionally, thank you to the The Gamecock Consulting Club for preparing members to take on these difficult casing challenges. All 4 team members are also members of the club.

Over the weekend, many of our alumni returned to campus to commemorate Homecoming and our chapter’s own Alumni Weekend! The weekend included an array of different activities including a catered welcome back event, a tailgate, and an alumni panel with networking opportunities. These events allowed our current brothers and alumni to reconnect and share new experiences! It was incredible to see so many of our alumni come back, we hope to see you again next year! A special thank you to our Director of Alumni Relations Benjamin Sheehan for such a memorable weekend.

Recently, our chapter enjoyed celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by collaborating with the Latin American Student Organization - University of South Carolina! Together, we hosted a Lunes Latino event outside of Russell House full of dance, food, and fun. Our organizations garnered over $120 dollars in emapanada sales to benefit PASOs, a local non-profit based in Richland County, SC. PASOs “helps build a stronger South Carolina by supporting Latino communities with education, advocacy, and leadership development.” Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

This past weekend, many of our brothers traveled to Athens, Georgia to watch the Gamecocks take on the Bulldogs. A huge thank you to the brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi - Alpha Epsilon for your generosity and hospitality in hosting us! It was an incredible experience meeting and networking with our fellow brothers!

Congratulations to our newest pledge class, Beta Iota! Our chapter was impressed by their hard work and outstanding performances during rush. We can't wait to see what this group will accomplish!
