“At Amazon Music, there's a healthy appetite for learning about the many exciting disruptions happening in the music industry right now.” Meet Liz Feder, a Principal Product Designer at Amazon Music who’s been working at the company since March 2020. A research-driven designer, Liz says she’s “focused on opportunities” that elevate underrepresented communities and customers. “Through research, ideation, testing, and final delivery, I work closely with product and engineering partners to launch exciting, innovative, and valuable products for creators and fans.” Liz describes her team as true partners who “prioritize trust, fearless exploration and collaboration” above all else. And while the work they do tends to “focus on the needs of artists and other content creators,” she says it also “directly impacts the listener experience across the whole app.” “This team is exceptionally talented, knows how to get things done, and positively influences the way fans experience music all over the world.” That’s what we like to hear!

“The people at Amazon Music are highly empathetic and supportive. My team checks in with one another on the regular to make sure we aren’t taking on more than we can deliver.” That’s Rebecca Dun, a Software Engineer at Amazon Music since January 2021. Based in San Francisco, Rebecca describes herself as a crafty person who was drawn to sewing and electronics before discovering her true passion: programming delightful online experiences. “It’s very rewarding to see how my coding improves the Amazon Music listening experience. If you’ve ever physically interacted with a playlist on the Amazon Music mobile app, there’s a good chance I’ve touched that experience directly (UX) or indirectly (playback, review of tech designers).” Dun also relishes the fact that even while working full-time at Amazon, she still has room for her art. She appreciates the work/life balance her career affords her, so she can still use her nights to hone her other passions -- which she says helps her do her job better. "I can use that same energy in my evenings for my crafting to energize me for the next day of Amazon Music work." A full-stack mobile developer, Dun loves how empowering Amazon Music has proven to be, bringing customers closer to the artists they love (and vice versa). “I love the impact I’m able to make, improving the Amazon Music experience and shaping the future of entertainment and technology for the better.” Thanks for the music, Rebecca!
