👏 Great news for the arts! Recently, The House voted to protect funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities, rejecting $96 million in cuts that threatened vital programs. This is a major win for #ArtsandHumanities in the U.S. and is possible with the hard work of arts advocates across the country. This success was followed by the Senate allocating increased funding for both the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities in the FY’25 Interior Appropriations bill. 📣 Advocacy WORKS! 📣 💬 Nina Ozlu Tunceli, Executive Director, Americans for the Arts Action Fund chats with Hyperallergic about the impact of this decision: “People were very pleased with bi-partisan support for the arts and humanities in light of everything that’s happening in the world right now.” Read more from Nina in an article from Hyperallergic: https://lnkd.in/ep76dWWv
