We show up for a community glow up.   As part of our third annual Amway Cares volunteer event, more than 800 Ada-based employees – including 130 third-shift employees – rallied to give more than 5,000 volunteer hours to serve 28 Kent County non-profits.     A cornerstone of Amway Service Week, the event was held on August 6 and 8, spanning 41 projects. Volunteers provided landscaping, food reclamation, painting, farm work, bed building, and construction of a community playground, an annual initiative led by Amway for the past 18 years. Most of us know that fiber is an important part of a healthy diet, but a new study suggests that a specific type of fiber found in cereal and oats is optimal for weight loss. Nikky Contractor, Global R&D Leader for Amway, helped Medical News Today analyze the implications of this new study and explained how to effectively incorporate fiber into your diet without unwanted symptoms. In 2023, the Veggie Van™ was on the road 51 weeks out of the year, providing over 15,000 food access interventions.
