Today as we recognize # #WorldHandHygieneDay2024 let’s take time to look at a few facts on Hand Hygiene from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: * Washing hands with soap and water is the best way to get rid of germs in most situations, but if soap and water are not available you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol * Researchers estimate that if everyone routinely washed their hands, 1 million deaths a year could be prevented * Handwashing can reduce the risk of respiratory illnesses, like colds, in the general population by 16–21% #everystepcloser towards a healthier world.

It was an inspirational time at the 55th-year conference for the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) The conference was well organized and was #Interactive, #Educational, and #Fun. The sessions and audience interactions at the exhibit hall showed the dedication toward patients' well-being. As we wrap up the #NationalKidneyMonth take a look at the stats shared here by the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) including some of the concerning facts - * Kidney disease is growing at an alarming rate. It currently affects more than 1 in 7 — or 15% — of American adults, with people of color at greater risk for kidney failure.  *9 out of 10 people with kidney disease are unaware they have it, and about 1 in 3 people with severely reduced kidney function (but not yet on dialysis) do not know they have kidney disease. In addition to #spring, our Atlanta team welcomed another visitor last week. For the first time, we hosted Angelini Pharma Chief Industrial Operations Officer Enrico Giaquinto at our US headquarters in #downtown #Atlanta. As he took time to further understand the nuances of our #infectionprevention business in the US, our relatively #newoffice left a good impression too. We were excited to have our Casella Plant Head Stefano Poluzzi Dentali back this year in the US office. #leadership visits #teamwork
