Apne Aap’s Bihar community center runs a classroom for 50 children, ages seven to fifteen, along with its daily hot meal and karate program. The center provides a safe haven for children in the red-light area, including weekend games, arts classes, and open mic sessions to teach the children how to effectively speak to authorities. Through the support of friends of Apne Aap, the children in our network have access to a safe space, activities, and hot food, while keeping them away from the dangers of the red-light area.
