NEW FRANCHISE OWNERS! Meet Jon and Leigh Taylor and their two precious tots, Stella (10) and Max (5)! The couple first discovered Aqua-Tots during their search for swim lessons for their daughter near their home in Avon Lake, Ohio. They enrolled her at the Crocker Park, Westlake location, and after falling in love with both the experience and the mission of Aqua-Tots, the Taylors quickly wanted to become more involved by opening their own location close by. “It’s a great concept that provided great service to our daughter,” Jon said. “We met Ron and Paul and loved getting to know the structure of Aqua-Tots, their passion for helping others, and the success and growth plan of the company.” Leigh was born and raised in the northeast part of the state, so the duo is delighted to be putting down even more roots by opening their first school in North Canton. The Taylors hope to eventually expand to other areas in the northeast as well. Like most residents in the area, Leigh has many fond memories of spending time at Lake Erie. “There is definitely a need for swim lessons here because it is so close to such a big body of water,” Leigh said. “We are thrilled that now, our new, everyday purpose is to help children get excited about swimming and water safety.” Leigh was a lifeguard at the Cleveland Yacht Club during her years at Ohio University and has taught swim lessons throughout her life. For the last 10 years, she owned a manufacturer’s representative firm in the telecommunications space. Jon is a graduate of Texas Christian University. He has owned several different businesses and likes to help the community. He has been a director and vice president of sales in the technology sector for the last 25 years. After 35 collective years of corporate life, the Taylors are ready and excited to be jumping into swim school ownership. NEW FRANCHISE OWNERS: Introducing new Aqua-Tots franchisees, Alison and Matt Unkovich! They will be opening their first Aqua-Tots Swim School in Peoria, Illinois, this August. Alison, a Peoria native, was an active member of several swim teams and later served as a teacher in the Chicago Public School District for a decade. Matt began his career in finance before transitioning to consulting, with a childhood spent on the lakes of Northern Michigan. Matt and Alison returned to Peoria in 2018 to raise their family. The Unkovichs discovered Aqua-Tots while researching swim schools and were impressed by their early conversations with Co-Founder and President Paul Preston, as well as the outstanding curriculum developed by Aqua-Tots. Their passion for community impact aligns perfectly with Aqua-Tots' mission. Alison and Matt are eager to bring Aqua-Tots to their hometown. With four young children ranging from ages 7 to 6 months, the whole family is looking forward to jumping into lessons at Aqua-Tots Peoria.
