AGG Food & Drug chair Alan Minsk was quoted in a Law360 article regarding FDA's new draft guidance on how companies can respond to drug misinformation online. Alan shared that it is also clear that FDA wants to ensure that responses to misinformation don’t turn into advertising. "If you think it's an error, correct it, but this is not an opportunity to start thinking, 'While I've got you, let me tell you how wonderful it is,'" Alan said. "Don't turn it into a promotional opportunity. Fix it and move on." Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eQm9x3WJ

AGG has secured a favorable settlement on behalf of the estate of Charles T. Close, a world-renowned artist. The settlement resolves a lawsuit that alleged the wrongful denial of over $686,000 in medically necessary at-home skilled nursing care for Close. Represented by AGG Healthcare Litigation partner Matt Lavin, the estate successfully argued that Close’s employee benefit plan required unlimited coverage for his care. In a recent article about the state of palliative care licensing rules, Hospice News spotlighted an episode of AGG Talks: Home Health & Hospice podcast titled “Understanding Palliative Care: Strategies for Compliance and Reimbursement.” In this episode, AGG Healthcare attorneys Jason E. Bring and Charmaine Mech Aguirre discuss the critical distinctions between hospice and palliative care, examine emerging care models, and provide practical guidance for providers navigating the complex regulatory and reimbursement landscape. “The biggest question is going to be is it provided under a hospice license or under a separate model, and are there any other licensure requirements that might apply to that,” said Charmaine in the podcast episode. “When we think about the licensure, the big question is going to be is it under hospice, or is it under a group practice model or some other model, and that varies widely. That influences corporate structuring and how you want to fit that into your model.” Learn more about the state of palliative care: https://lnkd.in/ee5WKE33

In a recent article, Global Atlanta highlighted updates and tips for companies navigating the complex immigration landscape, shared by AGG Immigration & Global Mobility attorney Matthias Ohm during its Expat Expectations event. One of the major changes that Matt discussed is the cessation of passport stamping at most airports. Instead, travelers must access their electronic I-94 record online. “If it’s wrong, if you’re in the wrong status, there’s a chance you may be barred from the U.S. for three or 10 years,” Matt said, stressing that foreign nationals access their I-94 record as soon as they arrive in the U.S. to ensure accuracy. “This little piece of paper you can download and print from the internet is crucial.” Read on to learn more about Matt’s compliance tips: https://lnkd.in/ewBaFq4U
