About us

For more than 50 years, ArtsFund has strengthened the community by raising funds from individuals and businesses to support the region’s nonprofit arts sector through grants and other organizational assistance. Through its allocations process, ArtsFund has distributed more than $100 million in grants to a broad range of more than 100 arts groups in a wide variety of disciplines and scales throughout Washington State. ArtsFund's grants provide general operating support--typically the most difficult funding for the groups to find, and arguably the most critical. As the central voice for the arts in the region, ArtsFund provides capacity-building programs, conducts important research and advocates on behalf of the sector.

📣 We're excited to announce that Pacific Northwest Ballet will grace the stage at Celebration of the Arts this September with a performance of “The Calling”. Jessica Lang's dynamic solo work "The Calling" was originally created on her husband, Kanji Segawa, in 2005. Set to haunting choral music, this piece features one of the most dramatic costumes in contemporary ballet. The dancer's movement conveys all the agony, ecstasy, and meditation that can be found in moments of solitude.   Don't miss a chance to witness PNB at Celebration of the Arts September 24, 2024.   RSVP: September 10 https://lnkd.in/gHsZ3DD2 Learn more about PNB https://www.pnb.org   Accessibility Our goal is to provide a full complement of accessibility features so that all Celebration of the Arts attendees have a positive and inclusive experience. We're wrapping up Week of Gratitude with a final message from 2023 YAOF grantee, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO). Learn more about SYSO: https://syso.org/   "Over the past year, SYSO welcomed over 10,000 community members to our concert series featuring hundreds of young, talented musicians hosted at incredible venues such as Benaroya Hall and Seattle Opera. We launched a satellite chamber music program for Title I high schools in south Seattle, providing free access to music education during school hours. SYSO students also had the honor of performing the world premiere of a new work by rising Chinese-American composer Bobby Ge. Through these experiences and so many others throughout the year, SYSO's programs enabled our young musicians to create countless unforgettable experiences, build essential life skills, and foster new friendships through the power of music."   -Shawn Baker Gibson, Director of Marketing and Communications, SYSO
