AALEA Shapes the Future of the Policing Profession in Illinois. The Asian American Law Enforcement Association (AALEA), is a not-for-profit organization serving Chicago, the Midwest, and Great Lakes Region Established in Chicago, Illinois, in 1983. AALEA is a non-profit organization and a chartered member of the National Asian Peace Officers Association (NAPOA). AALEA members are comprised of mostly Asian-American Police Officers, Sheriff Deputies, and Federal Law Enforcement Professionals and Associate Civilians. AALEA represents various law enforcement agencies in the Great Lakes region and reflects the incredible diversity in both the public and law enforcement communities that we serve.
