With campuses in Temple, Hutto, and Taylor, Temple College is at the forefront of training students to enter the rapidly growing advanced manufacturing industry in Central Texas. Temple's Engineering Technology Department offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting/Design Engineering Technology. This degree prepares students to work as an engineering technologist or to continue their education at a four-year college. The department also offers three certificate programs that prepare students for entry-level support positions with building contractors, architectural engineers, and mechanical engineering firms. The Engineering Technology Lab has state-of-the-art technology, including 3D mice, 3D printers, plot printers, Alienware, and Oculus Quest rendering Virtual and Augmented Reality. Software applications students can learn include Autodesk, REVIT, CAD, CIVIL3D, BIM 360, Map, Enscape, and Unity.
