EARPA Project Spotlight, BATSS EU 💡  The project focuses on the mission to transform the European battery value chain with safer, more efficient, and sustainable battery systems for transport and mobile applications. BATSS #events 🗓 Our partner CIDETEC recently showcased their innovative work with #BATSS at the 8th European Conference of the PHM Society in Prague, Czech Republic. 🏛️ Dr Mikel Arrinda Martinez, Battery Diagnosis Team Leader at CIDETEC, presented an insightful paper titled "Comparison among machine learning models applied in lithium-ion battery internal short circuit detection". This work aligns with BATSS's goal to implement internal impedance trackers, crucial for battery safety and performance. Dr Arrinda's presentation covered: 🔍 Comparative analysis of machine-learning methods for detecting internal resistance 📈 Lessons learnt during the model development process 🛠️ Evaluation results showing maximum detectable internal short circuit resistance These findings will inform future developments in #BATSS, contributing to our commitment to #BatterySafety.
