BCS, LLC congratulates the winners of the 34th Annual National Science Bowl - Lexington High School in Lexington, Massachusetts, and BASIS Independent Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington, the respective high- and middle- school winners of the competition. We commend all the students that participated in the competition. The high school competition came down to Lexington High School and North Hollywood High School, from North Hollywood, California, with Lexington prevailing by correctly answering the following question: Which of the following statements about sunspots is true: W: Total sunspot area typically reaches a similar maximum during each solar cycle. X: Sunspots in a given hemisphere switch polarity in successive 11-year solar cycles. Y: Sunspots are more abundant in the northern hemisphere. Z: Sunspots have elevated convection rates. You can find out more about this year’s competition, including the answer to the question above, at the link below. https://lnkd.in/gjwsmAig

Last month, BCS, LLC's own Tenley Dalstrom shared her personal experience exploring heritage trails to gain a greater understanding of important historical events and figures. As part of her self-education, Tenley took two trips and wrote about each in her LinkedIn Article: https://lnkd.in/dPMhwJFe As you explore and educate yourself on cultural heritage, we encourage you to check out the resources provided in this article and always strive to keep growing!
This is a quick synopsis I wrote up about a couple of informative trips I took that were inspired by Black History and Women's History Months - I hope you enjoy! Links to locations and tours included!
