🌟 Welcome to the BioCircular Valley! 🌟 We're thrilled to announce a major investment in the North San Joaquin Valley's circular bioeconomy thanks to the Virtual Institute on Feedstocks of the Future (VIFF), a collaboration between Schmidt Sciences and the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research. 🚀 Up to $47.3 million will be invested over the next five years in transformative projects nationwide, including **$9+ million** dedicated to our region's innovation partnership! This funding will fuel innovative solutions to convert agricultural byproducts into new economic opportunities. Our new initiative, "Building the Circular Bioeconomy in the North San Joaquin Valley" – or BioCircular Valley – is co-led by Berkeley Lab, University of California, Berkeley, and BEAM Circular, with key partners including University of California, Merced, UCANR, and the USDA Albany Agricultural Research Station. Together, we'll develop new knowledge and a portal to connect local biomass suppliers with feedstock users, scientists, and project developers, driving sustainable innovation in our region and beyond.
