This is Isaac Neyman, one of the Assistant Project Managers on Beam Living's Design & Construction team. "What does your role consist of?" we asked. He answered,   "I am responsible for helping oversee capital projects mainly at PCVST & 8 Spruce. This entails everything from unit renovations to larger scale projects."   Our primary objective is to create a space that our residents can truly call home. To achieve this, all of our departments work cross-functionally and collaboratively. When asked how Design & Construction impacts what we do here at Beam, he states,   "The Design & Construction team plays an integral part behind the scenes of what we do here at Beam Living. We are responsible for the design & development of all our communities, apartments, amenities & other shared spaces. Our mission is not just to provide safe & high quality living spaces but to create memorable ones for both our residents and team members. My main role is to make sure that our properties & apartments are not just ready to welcome everyone but that they are a place in which residents can actually call home." #BuiltbyBeam

At Beam, our mission is to make city life happier for our residents and neighbors, leaving every experience better than before. To capture life at StuyTown, we caught up with some residents to see why they call this city oasis called StuyTown, home.

Our 2024 Interns wrapped up their summer with a bang, presenting their experiences at Beam in a dynamic, news-anchor style to the entire company. This creative twist was the perfect way to showcase the incredible journey they’ve had over the past two months. At Beam, an internship isn’t about fetching coffee or doing busy work. These bright college students are future leaders, and from day one, they’ve had a seat at the table. Throughout the summer, they’ve made meaningful contributions to their departments and the company at large, leaving a lasting impact.

Meet Kyle Matthew H., Beam Living's Senior Director of Marketing. When asked what his day to day looks like he states,   "I support the marketing team at Beam Living spearheading our digital marketing, content, brand, and resident communications strategies. My role encompasses creating and implementing impactful initiatives designed to attract potential renters, engage current residents, and adapt to the dynamic New York City real estate market. By aligning our efforts with the evolving needs and priorities of Beam Living, my team and I drive innovation and contribute to the ongoing success of our company along with all the other amazing humans here."   Here at Beam, we strive to put our people first by creating an environment that is collaborative, genuine and inclusive. What does he enjoy about working at the company?    "Working at Beam is a truly rewarding experience because I have the privilege of collaborating with some of the most knowledgeable and passionate professionals in the real estate industry. The greatest benefit? The genuine kindness of everyone here. Being part of a team that not only excels in innovation but also exemplifies the highest standards of the industry makes us truly unstoppable."

For Aleena, an Analyst on our Strategy Planning & Analytics (SPA) team, Beam's company culture is what allows her to succeed within her department. "Beam's culture emphasizes collaboration and values each team member’s contributions. The SPA team excels in an innovative environment that fosters creative problem-solving," she explained.   When asked about the specifics of her technical role, she responded, "I play a crucial role in enhancing our data infrastructure and strategic insights. My primary responsibility involves building and optimizing our data warehouse and ensuring robust data governance practices are in place to maintain data integrity and security."   Here at Beam, we pride ourselves on leaving people and places better than we found them, whether it's our teammates in office or residents within one of our four communities across New York City.

When asked how fitness impacts people's lives, Keimy Milanes, General Manager of Health and Wellness, responded, "Fitness can profoundly impact people's lives by enhancing both physical and mental well-being. Regular physical activity strengthens the cardiovascular system, reduces the risk of chronic diseases, boosts mood, and reduces stress and anxiety." She expands on her resident-facing role, "We aim to provide our communities with the best-in-class health and wellness amenities, programming, and services to enhance the resident experience by making city-life happier, and healthier, every day." Beam Living prioritizes health throughout all of our communities, with a fitness location at each community (and two at StuyTown!), as well as fitness focused events for residents, like YogaTown, and our Summer Fitness program for Beam teammates.
